Artist #37 - Phil Silver

Local children's book author, Phil Silver, will have his book "Andi the Bee" available for purchase at our show, and will gladly personalize a copy for you.  His new book, "Tales of Couver Forest" may also be available for the show, if they arrive from the printer in time.

Both books are gentle tales of three forest animals, Boga Bear, Skola Squirrel, and Bunko Bunny. The stories are designed for children six to ten years old, depending on reading ability, but can also be used as bedtime stories for younger non-readers. The universal messages in these stories will resonate with young readers, as well as adults, making them enjoyable for all ages.

It's never too early to think about a Hanukkah gift, Christmas stocking stuffer, or a Kwanzaa zawadi.

Artist #25 - Laurie Johnson

Hi! My name is Laurie Johnson, and I have been with Crafts Unlimited since 2004. I design primitive crafts; raggedy dolls, snowmen, Santas, framed samplers, burlap banners and pillows, penguin gourds, and upcycled wool mittens. You'll find me at several local bazaars throughout November, but Crafts Unlimited is far and above the best!

This year I am excited to have my daughter, Emily, joining our show! She and I enjoy crafting together, and have an Etsy site called Lottie Elizabeth (link below).

I have been designing and selling my craft patterns and finished items on my website since 2003. You may have seen some of my patterns in Country Sampler and Create and Decorate magazines. Besides my primitive designs, I also like to quilt, garden, collect antiques, and spend time with my family. My husband and I have five grown kids, live on a farm, and raise sheep and cattle and. Hope to see you at the show!

Primitive blessings,

Well, it's that time of year again!  Less than two months until our 2015 Crafts Unlimited Show! While it may still be summertime, our artists are busy making Christmas goodies galore for our November 6 & 7 show!  This is our big 40th anniversary show, and we've got some fun things planned!

We are planning some changes in our checkout room to help expedite the process of purchasing your goods.  Please remember that from opening on Friday until at least 12:00 noon, our show is very, very busy!  We so appreciate our loyal customers!

Our postcards will be put in the mail in a month, meanwhile, here is one of our fliers.

See you soon!

Artist #12 - Karen Davis

My name is Karen Davis. I have been a part of Crafts Unlimited since 2008 and am honored to be included with such a talented group of artists and crafts persons.  My crafts are mostly re-purposed vintage pieces that are no longer uesful for their original purpose, such as:

  • Vintage plates that are stacked and made into mirrors
  • Leaded glass Christmas ornaments using original vintage post cards and other vintage paper
  • Button bracelets (using mostly vintage buttons)
  • Angels made from old handkerchiefs and vintage jewelry
  • Plant markers made from vintage silver plated knives, and new this year -
  • Wind chimes from old silver plates
I have always loved working with my hands, and especially enjoy repurposing vintage things.  There is something very satisfying in preserving old things so they may still be enjoyed.

I live in Troutdale with my husband, a spoiled rotten cat, and a beautiful view of Mt. Hood.  I am blessed to be the mother of 5 incredible daughters, 10 equally incredible grandchildren, and 2 stupendous great-grandchildren!
