#17 - Josh Hancock

I am a new artist this year at Crafts Unlimited.  The products I make are handblown glass art; round and tear-shaped ornaments, paperweights, bowls, vases, floats, and lampshades.

I grew up in rural Camas on the Little Washougal River, and graduated from Camas High School.

I have always loved anything outdoors.  I hunt, fish, snow ski, and spend time on the Washougal River with my two dogs.

I started blowing glass in 1999 at Pacific Northwest College of Art.  Since then I have worked in five other local glass studios.  I currently work as the Studio Technician teacher at Firehouse Glass in downtown Vancouver.

In the future, I hope to have my own glassblowing studio; somewhere in sight of a quiet river.

#40 - Daisy Maiz/Fudge Fix

We have been with Crafts Unlimited for three years now.  Our names are Georgann and Allen Anderson.  Our business is located at 607 Washington Street in Vancouver,  You may reach us at (360) 718-8288, and visit our website by clicking here.

We offer special orders of kettle korn and fudge made at our store, and will have a selection of fudge and kettle korn at the Crafts Unlimited Show.

Allen came out of retirement looking for something to do.  Making kettle korn started out as a hobby until it grew enough that Georgann had to quit teaching to work full time in their "hobby" too.  In 2008 we opened up a little retail shop on Washington Street.  We couldn't just fill the space with popcorn, so we started making fudge - a new adventure - as we'd never made it before.  It was all about pleasing Allen!  It's grown since that time, and we hardly get a chance to do our true love - gardening and spending time with our family.

#7 - Barbara Bell

My name is Barbara Bell, and this is my first year at Crafts Unlimited.  I make stained glass angels.  I took a stained glass class with my sisters and fell in love with the craft.  We owned our own business for 42 years, and I have been retired now for a year, so I keep myself busy making the angels.  My husband, David, has started helping me, and it is fun to work together.

Less than two months until show time!

This year our show will be November 1st and 2nd.  We have several new artists this year (watch for their info on this blog!), and of course your old favorites!  Promises to be one of our best shows ever!  Don't forget our popular Artists Reception on Friday night, November 1st, from 5:00-7:00 p.m.  We started accepting credit cards last year, and plan to add a second credit card station this year.  You won't want to miss our 38th annual show!  Mark your calendars now, and spread the word!  See you soon!
