Artist #126 - Tamara Dinius

Hello! My name is Tamara Dinius and I am the owner and designer of Women, Wine, and Words.  I have dreamed of owning my own business ever since my parents opened a craft store in the late 70s.  When I was in my early teens, I loved working in the store with them.  However, after seeing how hard they struggled to keep the doors open, I realized having a brick and mortar store was not for me.  Instead I have chosen to concentrate my efforts on my online store.

It is one of my greatest joys to create and offer my art for sale.  You will find original art, prints, prints on canvas panels, postcards, note cards, and other products in my Etsy shop and Crafts Unlimited.

Next month is show time!

Postcards will be going out in the mail soon!  We have many new vendors this year, and you're going to love their stuff!  Can't wait to see you!  Mark your calendars for November 7th and 8th!  See you there!

Artist #4 - Michele Sonnenberg

My name is Michele Sonnenberg.  This is my first year with Craft Unlimited.  I create unique paper crafted items.

I am an avid gardener and can be found giving others yard and garden tips or home designing tips.  I am not above wielding a paint brush or digging in someone else’s house or yard.   I do not mind getting my hands dirty and “into” my projects.   I love to create and build beautiful things, be it for myself or for others.

My crafting abilities started out as a way to let my creative juices flow in contrast to the more than 30 years at a day desk job.  I had to work the day job, but my free time could be spent doing something fun.  I started out like so many others, I took a couple stamping classes and bought a few supplies.  Then over the years, it became an obsession and I have a dedicated craft room.  I started out making cards. Over time, I developed my own style and received requests from friends and co-workers to make them cards.  I finally saw a way to pay for my hobby.  I sold cards at a boutique, from my desk at work and then developed my own craft name “Something Special by Me-Shell”.  My favorite cards to make are custom cards.  Someone gives me a card order and I design a one-of-a-kind card for their request.

As in all things, making just one thing became mundane.  I branched out to making special notepad and magnet notepads.  Not a new concept, but I put lots of love in selecting and putting together just the right “thing” to create unique pads.  I also make special occasion and holiday themed gift card holders.  Everyone buys gift cards these days, why not make the wrapping special too?  Last, but not least, I create Me-Shell magnet boards.  Once again, not a new concept, but I wrap sheet metal with paper and create unique sports, kitchen, glamour (to name a few) themed magnet boards.

I look forward to seeing you there!

#17 - Josh Hancock

I am a new artist this year at Crafts Unlimited.  The products I make are handblown glass art; round and tear-shaped ornaments, paperweights, bowls, vases, floats, and lampshades.

I grew up in rural Camas on the Little Washougal River, and graduated from Camas High School.

I have always loved anything outdoors.  I hunt, fish, snow ski, and spend time on the Washougal River with my two dogs.

I started blowing glass in 1999 at Pacific Northwest College of Art.  Since then I have worked in five other local glass studios.  I currently work as the Studio Technician teacher at Firehouse Glass in downtown Vancouver.

In the future, I hope to have my own glassblowing studio; somewhere in sight of a quiet river.
